In the childhood memories of every good cook, there's a large kitchen, a warm stove, a simmering pot and a mom.

Hi, I'm Heather!

Copy of Hi! I’m Heather (1).png

I’m a foodie-farmer, modern-milkmaid, sourdough-baker, medicine-maker, fermentation-afficionado, and mother. I love sharing my passion for REAL, nourishing food and backyard medicine.

I live for food!

Whether I’m watering the garden, fermenting vegetables, making cheese, milking cows, baking sourdough, or foraging, most of my life revolves around growing, raising, preserving, cooking, and eating food! Our family of 6 has been raising and growing our own food for the past 15 years. We also love to forage and utilize wild foods. I am an herbalist and wildcrating instructor as well as a graduate student, currently pursuing a master's degree in nutrition and integrative health.

Wherever you are on your wellness or homesteading journey, I’d love to connect with you!

The most faq:

Q: Do I need to be a "homesteader"/ have a farm / own livestock / milk my own cow / grow my own vegetables to enjoy this course?

A: Absolutely not!  This course is for all the home-cooks out there of any skill level. You will surely hear some stories about our farm and livestock, but you do not have to have your own to join in on the fun!  All you need is access to quality ingredients. This may look like visiting your local farmer's market or finding small farms in your area where you can access quality meat, milk, and vegetables.
